Small Miner & Prospector

The small miner or prospector usually has a small set of claims or is looking to buy a mining claim. Their needs are either to

  • understand where to prospect or mine (i.e., where is the high-grade?),
  • develop a portfolio whereby they can sell or lease their claim,
  • obtain professional advice on buying or selling a claim, and/or
  • acquire assistance in permitting and compliance.

Resource Evaluation
Gold mining is challenging work. It takes a trained eye, a keen understanding of geologic processes, and wisdom in knowing just where to find the precious metal. If it was easy, everyone would do it and we all would be rich!

Even still, sometimes tracing the high-grade can be difficult. That is where the experience and wisdom of an experienced professional geologist can assist you in understanding "where the heck did it go!" Whether hardrock or placer, Advanced Geologic can improve your knowledge, set you on the right track, and point you in the right direction.

Resource evaluation tools for the small mining or prospector include geologic mapping, sampling, assays, and historical record reviews. All can play different roles to individual property conditions and the client's pocket book. Advanced Geologic will work with you and your needs. You will work more efficiently with a greater potential to make a profit.

Property Portfolios
Advanced Geologic has produced a number of property portfolios and have secured substantial payments for their clients. Each portfolio varies, but has some common elements, such as maps, assays and some discussion on the mineralization. The small miner or prospector may have already taken some assays, but Advanced Geologic will always have to take some samples to verify the results. A rule of thumb is: the larger the prospect, the more time and money it takes to build a portfolio.

Advanced Geologic has a list of exploration and mining companies that are actively seeking property portfolios. They are called "submittals". These companies receive dozens of them every year. Since Advanced Geologic helps large companies review their submittals, we know what they are looking for and can design your portfolio to meet their needs.

Even if you don't want to sell or lease your property, a portfolio adds significant value to your property.

Professional Advice
Small miners and prospectors are also looking to buy prospective properties. It would be in your financial interest to have the properties looked at or reviewed by a professional geologist first, before you spend thousands of dollars on what may be a sham. Even if it is not a sham, is their enough "gold potential" to warrant the asking price of the claim(s)?

Advanced Geologic has a simple program whereby you can call and briefly discuss your buying or selling plans. It is simple to set up an account and become a trusted client. You will be given full access to an experienced geologist who will be looking out for your interests. Unparalleled in service, our clients know they can trust us to act as though we were actively buying the claim. Remember, we are miners too. Clearly, this is where our motto comes into play: Better Science! Better Service!! Better Results!!!

Permitting
Other than panning, sluicing or small-time high banking, you will need a permit to do any significant mining operations. Advanced Geologic has a wealth of experience in developing

  • Plans of Operations
  • Special Use Plans
  • Reclamation Plans
  • and the myriad of permits, such as
    • Grading
    • Exploration
    • Right-of-Way, etc.

California has a number of additional requirements that come under the California Environmental Quality (CEQA) guidelines or Surface Mining and Reclamation Act (SMARA). We know many of the county, state and federal officials by first name and work with them to make sure you get to do what you want to do most, and that is mine for gold!

Compliance
Sometimes, miners get a little over zealous in their activities and have received violation notices from the oversite agencies. While this can seem frustrating at first, rest assured there is a way through the fog. Advanced Geologic will act as your agent to see that the violations are addressed and satisfied.

We will work on your behalf to minimize the conditions of the orders and, if necessary, help you comply with them. The last thing we want to see is you get frustrated over some pin-head greenhorn's touchy-feely personal decision rather than what is clearly spelled out in the law. If there was an error and there is a real violation, then we will fix it the best way we can. You need a friend when it comes to compliance issues and Advanced Geologic is the company that can give you that peace of mind.

So what are you waiting for? Who are you going to trust with your potential fortune? Call us today and lets make some plans.
