Exploration permits were obtained on the Golden Wolf #2 and #3 placer mining claims from the National Forest Service to excavated <1,000 cubic yards. On September 13 and 14, 2008, five test pits were advanced to bedrock and material stockpiled for processing. Results from these preliminary tests indicate the fluvial deposits contain ample fine to coarse-grained gold.
